THE FILM

I was an actor for years, until I also decided to write, direct, and produce. I have one feature film to my credit as a writer, director. My first film was shot in scotland, LA, and Las Vegas. A silly comedy caper flick that I don't like. So I don't talk about it.

My first film is so distant from who I am today, but I learned a massive amount from it. Even a 4 year film school course could not have taught me as much as this film did in many ways. I could not have made "MISSION X" on my own without the exeperience of this first film.

I have spent several years learning more about every area of the business. Becomng a better writer, learning more about the biz side of things, and in a way, waiting for the technology in production, post, and distribution to get better.

A filmmaker can now produce content cheaply, virally market online, and also deliver content cheaply via digital cinema, dvd, and digital downloads direct to a market. This also cuts out the need for many middle men, so in turn profits come back directly to the production and investors.

Self distribution also lets you build a global fanbase for other projects. You can also retain global territory rights. This is so important, as you can earn from your own content for years, and you are also in a position to do any remake deals with Hollywood.

I now see the potential for a creative business model that can eventually lead to me building my own online studio.

If you can't marry your creativity with a business brain in this industry, you won't survive. You will be a beggar with your art for the rest of your life.

My goal is to make fast, cheap, and original small indie flicks that I will sell direct to a fanbase I build. However, I also want to work freelance in the industry too, as I want to work with bigger budgets, which can also help me to build a global fanbase for my own projects.
